Void Transactions

A step-by-step guide for voiding transactions in Converge.

If you make a mistake or if your customer changes their mind, you can easily void the transaction. Voiding means the transaction is not processed and your customer's card is not charged. You can void any transaction before it is batched and processed. After that, you can issue a refund.

Requirements

The user voiding a transaction must have Void Transactions enabled under their user rights.

1. Open Converge and select Payments in the left navigation menu. Select the transaction(s) you want to void by clicking on a square in the first column. The selected square(s) will be green. Click the VOID button.

 2. Select Cancel or Confirm when prompted.

In the pop-up window, select cancel or confirm to void the transaction.

A message will be displayed that confirms the transaction was successfully voided.

Converge briefly displays a message that confirms the transaction was successfully voided. The message appears in the upper or lower part of the screen.

3. Click Void under Transaction Type for the voided item.
Under the Transaction Type heading in the table, click void on the voided item line.

The program will show the transaction details.

The window on the right side of the screen displays the transaction details
