Add Custom Fields to Your Virtual Terminal Payment Form

The virtual terminal allows you to process payments and view your business's transactions almost anywhere you have internet access. You can add custom fields to your virtual terminal payment form by following the steps below:
 

1. Select Settings in Converge, then click Payment Fields.
Select Settings in the left menu. Click Payment Fields located at the bottom of the Settings screen.

2. On the Payment Fields page, select Add Payment Field.

3. On the Add Payment Field page, all fields marked with a red asterisk are required. Under Section, select Custom Fields. Choose how you want the payment information to be displayed by selecting Text or Dropdown for the Field Type. Add a name for the payment field on the Enter a dropdown value line. If you want more than one name for the payment field, select Add Value. Be sure to select Show in Virtual Terminal. Then, click Add.
Complete required fields for Name, Display Name, Display Name French, Section, and Field Type. Click Add Value located under the Enter a drop-down value field to enter an extra name for the payment field. Click the Show in Virtual Terminal check box located on the right. Click Add at the bottom of the screen.


4. Scroll down to complete the steps above in the Order Section, Shipping Address section, Custom Fields section, and Order Level 3 section (if applicable). You can create a new section on your payment form by selecting Add New Section at the bottom of the page. Click Save.
Scroll down to the Order Section and complete the same fields as described in step three. Click Add New Section located at the bottom of the screen to create a new section to organize fields on the payment form. Click Save at the bottom of the screen

A message will appear that indicates you successfully updated the payment form settings.
